The Jeff Buckley Mailing Lists, Past & Present The first Jeff Buckley e-mail mailing list was operated manually by Carol through Mordor.com. It was mailed out on Sundays in a weekly digest form. This incarnation of the list was in operation from October 1994 through February 1996. Very soon after the original list ended, Suzanne started up a temporary mailing list (also partially manually) through Yale.edu. The plan was for her list to serve as the interim list until a more permanent one was established. This temporary version of the list was in operation from February 1996 until the JBEL was established. On January 25th, 1997, Andrew established the first incarnation of the Jeff Buckley Eternal Life Mailing List, and the first post went out on January 26th, 1997. During this period, the JBEL averaged 275 members, until June 1997, when it grew to a maximum of 472. He operated this until October 1997. This version of the list is nearly identical in operation to the one currently in service today. (Thanks for the info, Andrew!) The current administrator of the JBEL is Marcus. He kindly took the list over from Andrew on October 22nd, 1997. The JBEL is an excellent way to keep up with anything related to Jeff Buckley, as well as other topics of common interest to his fans. The list produces a lot of mail, though (often 50+ messages per day), so be warned.
